USB type-c and 4800 mAh is something worth it.

It absolutely sounds fantastic it’s probably one of the better sounding portable speakers that I own.

I’m not really sure with the omission of JBL connect plus, without a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary jack, without voice assistant, without the ability to take calls while you’re streaming music, it’s just hard to recommend a Bluetooth speaker with so many feature omissions from the previous model. Because of the type-c port, the speaker takes only up to 3 hours to charge this massive battery. The type-c port is specially designed to reduce the charging time. The most significant advantage of the speaker is here as it is coming with a type-c port. Because of this, it manages to entertain you up to 10 hours without interruption. Usually, you will not get such a massive battery capacity, especially in Bluetooth speakers. Battery Performanceįlip 5 is packed with a 4800 mAh powerful battery, and this is something that this speaker must buy. All credit goes to the IPX7 waterproof design. You can put it anywhere, like in the bathroom, near the pool, on the beach, etc. You don’t have to worry about the placement of the speaker. The safest bet is to pair like with like from the same generation of products, so Flip 5 with a Charge 5 for instance. The reason is that the Flip 4 uses an older version called Connect+ and JBL doesn’t seem to pay much mind to backward compatibility. Since the micro USB is not waterproof, the USB type-c can handle that type of water submersion. For example, you cannot pair the Flip 4 with the Flip 5 using Partyboost. Nothing is covering here, yet it can still go in the water and be perfectly okay. I’m not saying that as bad but sounds a little bit tinny at the max volume. The highs at high volume tend to sound a little tinny to me. You can notice them vibrate as the bass is kicking out. We got little radiators on the side just like previous flip models, and these things really kick out. The bass sounds absolutely fantastic for such a small speaker. The type-c port is present near the power light indicator, which is not covered under any rubber flap. The power light indicator is right there, which is a new upgrade. When you flip the speaker again, you will notice the power button, which is OneTouch on and off. If you press it twice, it skips forward.Īlong with these buttons, we got the volume up, down, and JBL Party boost button. If you press it once, it plays or pauses the track. The very durable rubber runs across the length of the speaker onto the sides, and it feels like this thing can really take a beating. The entire body is wrapped with the wire mesh.

Also, you get a USB type-c charging cable. A quick start guide and warranty card are present in another flat case. When you open the box, you will find a significant and durable cylindrical case in which a Bluetooth speaker is placed.

JBL Flip 5 comes with a regular box, and not like premium packing like Flip 4. Apart from some standard ideal features, the major upgrades are the type-c charging port, RMS output improvement, and 4800 mAh long-lasting battery. JBL Flip 5 is the upgraded version of Flip 4, as there are only a few changes that take place.
